Why do a portion of our dear elderly population drive minivans? I find it a little confusing. I am not saying that it is bad, I just am confused about the motive, but in a good way.
When I think minivan I picture a young family with a couple adorable children, maybe expecting more..maybe not. This minivan would be used for driving to practices with all the neighborhood kids, loading up the floaties for the beach trips in the summer, and for minimizing any fighting that might take place due to the extreme close contact in a smaller car. So why do our grandparents drive minivans? Is there more room for grandchildren, or maybe it is an easier car to get in and out of? Who really knows except those that choose such a vehicle for themselves.
If I was a grandparent I would imagine myself to drive some kind comfortable sedan, that was a really smooth ride, was not too trendy or expensive, just something that was very reliable and comfortable.I think I would also like to have those really comfy wooly seat covers, and would also play the phantom of the opera and classical music. Maybe I am negatively profiling this generation of people, but this is a sincere thought I have always had!
I hope you are doing well in your life, whatever that might mean for you, and are enjoying your spring weather!
As a side note, I am going back to Austin on Sunday after 6 weeks of having my adventure! I am excited to see my dear friends and to be back in the "granola"ness of Austin! And the Mexican food is calling my name!!
Peace!

Hi Sam...my inlaws bought a minivan years ago to haul all those grandkids around. I was glad they did ;)
